We are so lucky to have studied with great teachers in New York and Los Angeles - our next acting class features the best script analysis techniques of two outstanding acting teachers, New York's legendary Stella Adler and Hollywood's great Stephen Book!

Sincerely,

  Unique New Acting Workshop
by Professional Director/Actor Al D'Andrea,
Artistic Director of Portland's Snowlion Rep

"SCRIPT ANALYSIS: The Mind of Acting Technique"

Teacher Al D'Andrea will guide his students through the rigorous process of analyzing a contemporary script for the stage.  Each actor will develop the script analysis tools needed to knowledgeably bring a character to life.  Students will then apply these techniques as they rehearse and present selected scenes during the class.  They will also employ the acting tools developed in other Snowlion Rep acting class modules (action & objective, character, imagination & instinct, and the actor's instrument).

Special attention will be given to the script analysis techniques of Al's mentors, the legendary actress Stella Adler and Hollywood's foremost acting teacher Stephen Book.

MAINE PLAYWRIGHTS NEED YOU !

We hope you'll take a moment to  HELP US FUND our one and only PLAYLAB, now in its fifth season, with a donation.  Every month, playwrights hear their new works read by rehearsed actors and receive feedback from fellow members.

Each donation helps us pay for space rental, insurance, actor fees and supplies like script copies and water! PLAYLAB is offered to Maine playwrights at NO COST TO THEM - but the bills must get paid.  Click here for info on how to help:

We are looking forward to another great year of helping Maine playwrights grow and develop their work at Snowlion Rep's unique contribution to the theater scene in Maine, PLAYLAB!
