Survivor Lidia Budgor in animated short film about her experiences
This Sunday at 11:00 am, we will screen the animated short film
When Man to Man Is a Wolf and exhibit student work from the film.

When Man to Man is a Wolf  is a beautiful and moving animated film based on the personal narrative of Holocaust Survivor and LAMOTH Survivor Advisory Board Member Lidia Budgor. This exhibition and the animated film were made possible through the collaboration between Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust and the Advanced Animation Class at College of the Canyons, led by filmmakers Masha Vasilkovsky and Ruah Edelstein.

Argus Quartet
Join us this Sunday at 1:30 pm for a special performance by the Argus Quartet. In last summer's Righteous Conversations Music Composition Workshop, five Milken Community High School students worked with RC Music Director Dr. David Brown to compose original music pieces based on the reflections, conversations, and connections students made with Holocaust Survivor Mentors in the workshop. The Argus Quartet will be performing a selection of these student compositions, as well as two pieces from their own repertoire. This is the first public performance of the Righteous Conversations Music Compositions from Summer 2015.

THE WEEK IN REFLECTION:
Law Enforcement & Society (LEAS) with Culver City Police Department

Culver City Police Department participates in LEAS at LAMOTH
This week LAMOTH welcomed members of the Culver City Police Department as part of the LEAS program. Started by the Anti-Defamation League and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum in Washington DC, in 2015 LAMOTH partnered with the ADL to develop LEAS for Los Angeles. LEAS provides law enforcement officials with a comprehensive examination of the role of police during the Holocaust as well as an opportunity for dialogue about contemporary issues relevant to today's law enforcement professionals. The Culver City Police Department began their day with a tour of LAMOTH galleries conducted by a LAMOTH docent. This was followed by workshops facilitated by LAMOTH and ADL staff.

For more information about the LEAS program, visit our  website.
