It is time to get the sweaters out and explore the differentl flavors of fall. We expect to have a very spook-tacular October. Check out the following events, especially our Hugging Booth

This Sunday October 11th is National Coming Out Day, a civil awareness day internationally observed to recognize members of the LGBTQ+ community. 

Metro DC PFLAG will be hosting two hugging booths for PFLAG parents and allies to embrace the community during this day of love and support. We hope you can join us and volunteer to be a hugger. VOLUNTEER HERE


Northern VA Pride Multifaith Worship Service
         October 8
Join with people of faith to gather in gratitude for gains in LGBT civil rights, the opening of doors of a growing number of faith communities, and to celebrate Northern Virginia Pride.

Transgender Information & Empowerment Summit

The second annual Virginia Transgender Information and Empowerment Summit (TIES) offers seminars and workshops for transgender individuals, significant others, parents o transgender youth and advocates in an inclusive and supportive environment. Join us to increase your knowledge and build your network.

Come get down with Metro DC PFLAG Wednesday night Oct. 14th for a good old fashion round of queer singing and dancing with your favorite people!

Express Yourself! 
         October 17
An extravaganza celebrating individuality. Presented by Equality UUCF. - Free admission; donations gratefully accepted. - Proceeds benefit Fairfax LGBTQ Youth (FLY), a Metro DC PFLAG youth group.

Individuals of all ages are encouraged to come "Express Yourself," dressed in the style and clothing that expresses your best self, the style you're happiest in.  Sign up to walk the runway in the "Show" or come to cheer on others expressing themselves.

Highwood Theatre Pride Night 
         October 17
The show follows the struggles of young adults trying to figure out who they are, where they belong, and what they want out of life. It specifically addresses relationships and sexuality and examines the oft-forgotten "Q" in the LGBTQ acronym - questioning.

2015 Youth Resource Fair and Town Hall

Arlington and Alexandria Counties: Teens will learn about the many resources that are available to them in their counties that address educational, employment, health, mental health and housing needs.
