As Winter turns into Spring, we will find ourselves busier than usual. However, we must not lose sight of our company's culture. To ensure I am doing my part, I am excited to announce the kick off of our monthly "Coffee with our COO". Our first coffee date will take place next month in our corporate office. During these meetings we will discuss your feedback and ideas over coffee and refreshments, but with a relaxed and casual exchange of conversation. I want each and every one of you to feel at ease while we explore creative ways to continue improving the success of our communities.
Additionally, congratulations to all who have received their HCCP (Housing Credit Certified Professional) this month! I encourage all to utilize the educational opportunities available.

Housing Credit Certified Professional (HCCP)
The Housing Credit Certified Professional is a specialized designation for regionals, property managers, leasing consultants and others working in the affordable housing industry through the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program. In order to receive the HCCP certification, each individual has to take a 2.5 hours comprehensive, multiple-choice exam focusing on development, compliance, and management issues. In order to pass, each individual has to answer at least 48 of the 75 questions correctly to pass. Congratulations to our team members who are the new HCCP's at The Franklin Johnston Group:

1st Quarter Sales & Marketing Training
This month our Hampton Roads communities participated in the first quarter sales and marketing training sponsored by CoStar and apartments.com. The two-day course was held at Marina Shores in Virginia Beach and The Woodlands at Phoebus in Hampton. The training highlighted features versus benefits, closing techniques, and overcoming objections. Our dedicated team members are now ready to embrace the upcoming prime leasing season. Thank you to all who participated.

Resident Event of the Month
Residents at River House had fun this month looking for red, white, and pink balloons around the community. They had the opportunity to win a prize or a chance to be entered into a drawing to win $100 gift card to Top Golf. To be entered into this drawing, each resident had to submit a selfie on Facebook. Who ever had the most likes on the photo won. Congratulations to Andy Hoff!

Homeless Animals Awareness Week
27 TFJG Hampton Roads communities joined forces in February to educate residents, vendors, and visitors about the plight of Homeless Animals Awareness week. Throughout the special week, the team sent out educational messages and displayed orange ribbons.
