Issue: 26 March 2016

Dear Friends,

Only a few weeks into the spring semester and our students are already making an impact, we present three stories about the work of our students. The SDSU Debate Team is again off to a stellar start and preparing for national competition that will extend the SDSU legacy of excellence in speech and debate. Our MFA musical theatre candidates will complete two years of intensive study in May, but before then, they will present a much-loved musical that underscores the depth of their research and highlights their musical and dancing expertise. Finally, an uplifting story of two military professionals who are reunited in a public relations class at SDSU, and prepare to make an impact in the community in which they serve and hope to work.

There are a number of great events upcoming on campus, I hope to see you at one soon.

Best,

Joyce M. Gattas, Dean

The Gift of Musical Theatre

Honeymoon funds and household miscellanea make good wedding gifts, but nothing tops surprising your soon-to-be-married friends with an original musical.
