Tri-Palooza 2016

Hello Ladies, 

Only a few short weeks until Tri-Palooza 2016!  There has been a ton of excitement, but also a ton of questions!  This is SO MUCH more than an expo so read on to know what is truly in store for those that sign up.

But first, the details:
Date: Sunday, March 13
Location: Virtua Center for HealthFitness, 239 Hurffville Crosskeys Rd, Sewell, NJ
Time: 9:30am-4pm
Cost: $40 includes lunch
Who: Open to ALL Female Triathletes (including non-members)!

The Experience
Tri-Palooza is a unique, festival-inspired event specifically designed for the female triathlete, and customized by you!  Here's how it works:

Step 1:
Register HERE, choose your free lunch and maybe add a spa treatment.

Step 2:
Receive a registration confirmation email with a signup genius link.

Step 3:
Click link allowing you to choose from nine workshops and activities AND your preferred time slots.  

Step 4:
Show up Sunday, March 13 between 9:30-10:15am and receive your customized itinerary to guide you through your festival experience as well as some swag.

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE
"Injury Prevention in Female Athletes" Brad Bernardini, MD (click here for bio)
Female athletes are distinct from their male counterparts. In this workshop, Dr Brad Bernardini will describe these differences and their relationship to increased injury risk in female athletes. He will also review in depth strategies to prevent these injuries through strength training, technique modification, and recovery. Please join us for this workshop as we approach the 2016 triathlon season and compete injury free!

We all know that good nutrition is paramount for maintaining good health, but for a long distance runner, it can also promote peak performance and make a huge difference on race day. Long distance runners require a greater number of calories and carbohydrates, and it's easy to do this in an unhealthy way. In this workshop, join Registered Dietitian and CPT for tips on how to boost your calories and carb intake healthfully in order to maximize your training, improve your performance on race day, and recover better and faster.

Join a Registered Dietitian and CPT for this informative session on practical nutrition tips for athletes. During athletic training, your calorie and protein needs increase, but this is not a free pass to eat whatever you want! In fact, eating a well-balanced diet becomes even more important during intense athletic training. During this workshop you'll learn how to utilize food as important fuel for your body, tips for adequate hydration and how to achieve and maintain an optimal performance weight.

This workshop will discuss the symptoms of menopause, their impact on the female triathlete (peri and post menopausal), and ways to combat them.
