Invite someone to join our church family! Starting Point is a four-session orientation class for people who are considering membership - but it's more than that! Whether you're brand new to Hamilton Mill UMC or you've been here for a while, Starting Point offers a chance for you to make some new friends and get connected.

The Pantry at Hamilton Mill UMC has been enrolled in the Kroger Community Rewards Program. Now you can support The Pantry every time you shop at Kroger! 

How to sign up!
1. If you do not have a Kroger Plus Card, please stop by the customer service desk at Kroger and ask for one - It's FREE! 

2. To link your Kroger Plus Card to The Pantry, simply go to krogercommunityrewards.com 
  • click "Create an Account" and enter your information.
  • Once you have created an account, click on "My Account" on the top right corner - scroll down to the bottom of the page to "Community Rewards"
  • click enroll
  • enter "The Pantry at HMUMC OR enter our number "49947" 
  • select The Pantry from your search list
  • click enroll
That's it! Now you are enrolled. Kroger's Community Rewards Program, along with your continued donations, will make supporting The Pantry easy...all you have to do is shop at Kroger and swipe your Plus Card!

The Kroger Community Rewards program is Kroger's way of showing their commitment to helping our community grow and prosper. 3.  Homeless Offering

Special Offering This Sunday! 

On Sunday we will be collecting a special offering for the North Georgia Housing and Homeless Council. 100% of your Homeless Offering will go to ministries that serve persons experiencing homelessness and poverty.

4.  Tech Volunteers Needed

Tech Team Informational Luncheon 
Sunday, March 6 at 12:30pm in The Shed

We are looking for volunteers to help set up and run audio, media, and lighting during worship service, special events and ministry programs. Justin Crisp, our new Tech Director, is hosting a special luncheon for anyone interested in learning more about this valuable behind the scenes ministry. All are welcome, no experience necessary.

5.  New Women's Bible Study Starts Soon!

The Best Yes - Women's Bible Study
Wednesday Morning's from 9:30am to 11:00am starting March 9

If you're living with the stress of an overwhelming schedule and want to learn the big difference between saying yes to everyone and saying yes to God, this study is for you! Join us as we discuss Lysa Terkeursk's book  "The Best Yes," and learn to rise above the rush of endless demands and discover our best yes! $9 per book. Childcare is available upon request.

6. Spring Blood Drive  

Red Cross Spring Blood Drive
Monday, March 14 from 1:00pm to 6:00pm in the Sanctuary 

To donate, please sign up online at www.redcrossblood.org using the passcode: hamumc (use all lowercase letters). You may also sign up on Sundays, February 28, March 6, and March 13th 2016 before or after each worship service. Please prayerfully consider making a donation at this time. While walk-ins are accepted, the Red Cross appreciates appointments since that allows them to plan the drive more efficiently.  Be sure to bring either Red Cross donor card or a photo ID when you come to make your donation.

Volunteers are needed to work the day of the drive in 2-hour shifts. The jobs are registration and manning the canteen. If you are interested in helping, contact Pat Erwin at 770 307-1645 or [email protected] .

Ignite Sunday Night Dinner Volunteers

We are looking for volunteers to help feed our high school students a snack dinner on Sunday nights at 5:30pm. This is the perfect opportunity for a Small Group, LifeGroup, Sunday School Class or just a group of friends to have fun serving together. If you or your group would be willing to provide a meal for our high school students, we would greatly appreciate your help! They love to eat!


8. Crosstown Kids

Special Needs Training
Thursday, February 25 at 6:30pm 

Our first ANNUAL special needs training is open to all current volunteers and those interested in volunteering.  Special needs curriculum, strategies, and safe sanctuary requirements will be covered in this training.  Sign up at www.hmumc.org/SNTraining .


WinShape Kickoff Week: March 6 - March 12

It's almost time to kick off registration for WinShape Camp 2016 at HMUMC! March 6 is a Sunday you do not want to miss! We will announce our early discount registration for completed 1st - 6th grade campers, volunteer opportunity discounts, and this year's scholarship goal to help send deserving children in our community to camp, so they can learn more about the God who loves them! WinShape Camp Week: July 18 - July 22.

VBS Registration Begins March 13

VBS campers will have a blast this summer from June 6 - June 10. The 2016 VBS theme is Cave Quest! Join us as we follow Jesus - the light of the world! Registration for campers opens March 15. VBS is a highlight of the children's ministry calendar!

Palm Sunday - March 20 
 
8:15am - Early Service in "The Rooftop"
Early risers will enjoy this special intimate service, complete with a special message and live music.

9:30am & 11:00am - Cantata in the Sanctuary
Enjoy a musical presentation featuring a full choir, orchestra and soloist.


Easter Celebration and Egg Hunt  
Sunday, March 20 at 4:00pm
Hop on over to the church for a family fun Easter Celebration. The Easter Bunny is coming to HMUMC with baskets full of eggs stuffed with sweet treats and a few special prizes too.

PLEASE HELP THE EASTER BUNNY prepare for this special event by donating plastic Easter eggs stuffed and taped closed. No peanut products please! Donation bins are located by the Rooftop.


Maundy Thursday Service 
March 24 at 7:00pm
A special communion service focusing on Jesus' time in the Garden of Gethsemane and the Last Supper. Childcare available for kids 4yrs and under.


Good Friday Service 
March 25 at 7:00pm
A celebration and contemplation service of Jesus' journey with special music and scripture readings. Childcare available for kids 4yrs and under.


Easter Sunday Services

Celebrate the empty tomb with us - He has risen! Join us at one or more of the six very special services offered on this glorious day!
