Greetings Cascade Family and Friends,

I think most of you are aware of my extreme passion for children and commitment to their growth and development. I have frequently shared my strong desire to see our children and youth leading the church. So, none of you will be surprised when I tell you how elated I was to experience our "Coming Generation Choir" in worship last Sunday. We were wonderfully blessed by their presence. Not only did they look good, in their variations of black, but they also sounded absolutely amazing! KUDOS to our marvelous director, Mr. Luther Washington II, for a job well done. Many CONGRATULATIONS to our youth who lifted their voices in pure adoration. You were truly awesome! You made my heart sing and my spirit rejoice. I am so proud of how well you did and how far you have come in your development as a choir. What is more, I know you felt blessed as you pleased God (and Mr. Washington) through your excellent praise.

Parents, you are to be commended for your consistent support of your children in this vital ministry. I know that in many of your worlds, you are multi-tasking and wearing numerous hats daily. I really do appreciate your extra efforts to include Cascade UMC on your list of important commitments. I also want to thank and encourage those of you who are still trying to work out your schedules. God knows your hearts and He will provide a perfect plan for you and your child to commit your time and talent to the choir. Do not give up! Yes, I know how difficult it can be with several children doing many things--all at the same time. Thankfully, we agree on how important it is to expose our children to significant leadership in the church. With intent, we will pray for our youth and expect the Coming Generation Choir to continually serve and grow as God leads and allows. I am just thankful to Him for who they are now, and for who they will become. To God Be The Glory!!!
