WEEK 17 & 18

Lakeland Broadcasting

On Tuesday the 26th CEO visited Lakeland Broadcasting.  The company is celebrating its 75th anniversary and owner Steve Linder welcomed the class by sharing some history.  The class then learned about the marketing services Lakeland offers local businesses.  Yes, we got a chance to speak live on the air...and we NAILED IT!  Thank you Steve and the Lakeland Broadcasting staff for welcoming us!
Aqua-Therm

On Wednesday KCEO worked on Thank You's for the event.  We spent a great deal of time matching photos and addresses with the correct names.  They rocked it, so everyone should expect their photos soon!
Alex Baker - Reemo

Alex Baker, CEO of Reemo, discussed the process of launching a tech start up.  Networking, hard work, and passion were the topics of the day.  Check out what Alex and the Reemo team are up to at www.getreemo.com.  Thanks Al!
Trouw Nutrition and Nutreco

Trouw Nutrition Plant Manager Tim Hanson welcomed CEO on Tuesday the 2nd.  Our class was fortunate to meet the President of Trouw USA Bruce Crutcher, Willem Kernkamp, Managing Director BU Americas,
Edgar Vandenberg, Business Unit Controller Americas, and Jeroen Walkerman, CFO Nutreco.  Those are the big whigs, in case you're wondering, and the students did wonderfully.  The tour was very interesting, the discussion was engaging, and our students learned some valuable lessons regarding business strategy.  To everyone at Trouw and Nutreco, thank you!

The Oaks

It was 'rubber hits the road' time for our students this week.  Several of them were still kicking around business ideas, but this week we were able to nail down plans for everyone.  The students spent a couple of days brainstorming and troubleshooting each other's business ideas, doing research, and working through an individual SWOT analysis.  They are primed for some serious information over the next few weeks as we will be learning about financials, business structure, and business plans from professionals in the field.
WE NEED YOU!
PLEASE stop by our class whenever you have time.  We meet everyday from 7:15am to 8:45am.  Grab a cup of coffee and stay for ten minutes, or sit down with the students for the entire session.  Our students need your expertise and guidance on a daily basis.   Download our full schedule today.
