Dr. Cheryl Marshall has been appointed the new chancellor of the North Orange County Community College District. She will assume her new position on July 1.

Living with
Disabilities Conversation Circle
Disability Support Services and the Cadena Cultural Center are hosting Living with
Disabilities, a conversation circle on Tuesday, March 1 at 2 p.m. in Building 200, Room 229. The primary goal of the conversation circle is to foster a greater awareness, understanding, and appreciation for the diversity of our community through the lived experiences of one another. Staff Development Workshops
Today, Feb. 22, there is a Turnitin.com workshop from 2 to 3 p.m. On Feb. 23, drop-in support for technology and Blackboard is available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a workshop on designing groupwork for the online classroom will run from 2 to 3 p.m. On Feb 25, there is a Turnitin.com Grademark orientation from 2 to 3 p.m. followed by drop-in support for Blackboard from 3 to 5 p.m. On Feb. 26, there is a workshop on how to provide regular and effective contact in online classes from 10 a.m. to noon. All classes are in Building 800, Room 800D.
Deans Present at ACCCA Conference
Deans Dani Wilson and Dan Willoughby gave a presentation called "Innovations in Faculty Development and Engagement" at the annual Association of California Community College Administrators conference on Feb. 17 in Riverside. The shared details about an academic career pathways program, the Adjunct Academy and various staff development programs at Fullerton College.

Habits of Mind: Introduction to Mindfulness
Staff Development has scheduled a series of events for Habits of Mind led by FC Faculty Deidre Hughes. The first three workshops are an introduction to mindfulness practice. Events are open to everyone and count towards both the Habits of Mind and Health and Wellness categories of the Teaching and Learning Certificate. This week's workshops are today, Feb. 22 at 3:30 p.m., Feb. 25 at 5 p.m. and Feb. 26 at noon in Room 312.

The Fullerton College Art Gallery's 2016 Artist in Residence exhibit featuring renowned artist Lesley Dill runs through April 4. Men's Basketball
Congratulations to the Hornet basketball team as they had four players selected to the All-Orange Empire Conference team. Blake McBride, Julian Richardson, Ian Fox and Kenny Barnes all made first team honors. Stay tuned as the Hornets find out today who they will face in the first round of the Southern California Regionals later this week.
Baseball
The Hornets hosted LA Mission College on Saturday and won 13-6.
Up Next: FC (7-1 overall) will play tomorrow at home against Mt. San Jacinto College. Game time is at 2 p.m.
Softball
Fullerton hosted Golden West College on Wednesday for the Orange Empire Conference opener and enforced the mercy rule on the Rustlers 14-0. Up Next:
