The Michigan Pet Fund Alliance will help Director Melissa Miller and Detroit Animal Control and Care (DACC) in getting their news out. We have added a   page to our website where we will post their news

The first DACC newsletter was issued January 8th and includes:
  • recent holiday transfers
    DACC news
  • announcement of a 2-phase volunteer program: read more and access the volunteer application here.
  • Town Hall meeting, scheduled for Thursday January 21 from 6-9pm, for rescue organizations and shelters interested in helping transfer animals out of the shelter. Paws in the D is hosting and space is limited. RSVP is required! Send an email to JMartin@michiganhumane.org.
  • a list of rescues and shelters pulling animals from DAC who are in need of foster homes

DACC Washer and Dryer fundraising update

The online campaign has raised $4,000 and another $9,000 has been sent in via checks bringing our total to $13,000. We are only $2,000 short from reaching our goal. It isn't too late to help the homeless dogs and cats in Detroit - - - please contribute now.




Michigan Pet Fund Alliance Mission
The single mission of the Michigan Pet Fund Alliance is to stop the killing of healthy and treatable homeless cats and dogs in Michigan shelters. 
 
MPFA is an all-volunteer organization collaborating with shelter and rescue organizations to achieve No Kill through training, technical  assistance,
 education and advocacy.
