As the weather begins to turn cooler, the calendar tells us that October is here. As we get settled into a new school year, football season and all the other things that keep us busy, it can be difficult to remember that our Annual Campaign never takes a day off.

Thanks to the hard work of so many of our volunteers, we are excited to share that over $120,000 has already been raised for our 2015 Annual Campaign. As you know, your donations help us provide valuable programs and services to those who could not otherwise afford to pay for them. 

While we've come a long way, we still have work to do to reach our goal by the end of our campaign year.  It only takes a moment of your time to give to our campaign and help provide vital services to those community members most in need.  

It's easy to give, all you need to do is click here.  Ask Emily who was our first online donor of the campaign.  "It was incredibly easy to use the online donation form and I'm glad to give to an organization where 100% of the dollars raised in our Annual Campaign goes directly to our financial assistance program, serving those in need right here in our community."

Character Counts Week is the largest celebration of character worldwide.  The program gives kids a framework for ethical living. Simply put, it helps
kids make better choices to make everyone's life better.

Join our Y as we celebrate the character of all our members during the week of October 19 - 23.  Show us your character by posting photos of yourself wearing the colors on our social media channels!

Children and families are transported to a LEGO Kingdom where they can explore a royal castle, climb a lookout tower, test the castle's defenses with a catapult and more.  Oh, and did we mention that it's all built out of LEGOs?

We are excited to announce that The Mercer Museum has partnered with our Y to bring this great exhibit to our membership. Both Indian Valley and Lansdale Branches have received twenty-five (25) passes where children can enter the museum for FREE with the purchase of an adult ticket. And this is the final stop for the exhibit so won't want to miss the great adventure!

Come out to our Indian Valley Family YMCA on October 24 from 6:00 - 9:00 pm and support our  Annual Campaign at our first annual Monster Bash! Enjoy a live band, The P-Rents, bake sale and raffles. Light refreshments will be provided and costumes are optional.   Registration is limited.

Take advantage of our Early Bird special before October 1 which is $15 per person, $25 per couple and $30 per family.  After October 2nd, cost is $20 per person, $30 per couple and $35 per family

We invite all members of the community to join us for our event; A YMCA membership is not required for this event.

We all have that teacher that we loved, and if we're lucky, more than one!   We admire these role models for all the knowledge they share and love them for their ability to touch our hearts. 

At our Y we are lucky to have the greatest teachers on the planet...we may be a little biased...and we thank them for loving what they do and for making school a home away from home!  Thank you to our staff at Harleysville Early Childhood Center, HUGS Daycare, Wiggles & Giggles Childcare Center and Indian Valley and Lansdale daycare, preschool, Kindergarten and Before and After School care for all that you do for our kids and community!

The Lansdale Area Family YMCA will be hold our annual Penny Auction on Friday, October 9, 2015. The entire community is invited to come and play at our "casino" themed event.  The night will feature over forty prize packages including electronics, restaurant gift certificates, furniture and baskets galore.  Doors open at 6:00 pm with games beginning at 7:00 pm.  

Proceeds from the event benefit our Y's Annual Campaign, which provides financial assistance to families who may not otherwise be able to afford YMCA programs and services.
