CREW DC 2016 Golf Program
Dust Off Those Clubs

If you haven't joined us before, get ready for the launch of CREW DC's 2016 Golf Program!

This three-month program is unique to the industry because it focuses on the inexperienced golfer and provides networking, lessons and an introductory-level golf outing to those interested in learning more about the sport.

Studies have shown that learning to play golf is an important part of a business resume - in fact, an article in The Economist says "golf is a fine test of character....players who remain calm under pressure, never lose their temper and think strategically " exhibit traits important in business as well as on the course. 
 
If you're thinking about how to incorporate golf into your professional game, mark your calendars for our first opportunity, the TopGolf Networking Event on March 16, and then stay tuned for more updates!
 
We don't want to brag, but there have been several sightings of CREW members lately in the DC area, including, this awesome group of our 35 & Under members learning self-defense techniques in our S.A.V.E. Self-Defense Workshop at Fuse Pilates.    
  
Also spotted in Culpeper?  The CREW DC Board of Directors attending the 3rd Annual Leadership Retreat and making plans for our future, with new and exciting ways to enhance your membership.

Dear Members,

While we're still in the first quarter of our new year, it's never too early to begin talking about our Path to Leadership program, and before you know it, it will be time to launch this exciting search for our next leaders.
 
As you may know, last year we launched this new effort to make the path to service on the CREW DC Board of Directors more transparent and easier to understand.  As we did last year, we will soon host a series of informal Q & A sessions for anyone interested in learning more about service, the time involved, and the available positions.
 
I hope you'll begin thinking about service and whether it can further your career.  Then, stay tuned for details on our upcoming sessions and nominations. Finally, take a look in the About Us section of our website, where we have recently included information about the Path to Leadership.
