Dutch Bill Watershed Update

Landowners and interested others are welcome to join us in two community meetings to learn about tools to help landowners in these watersheds manage their water.  Presentations will focus on recent efforts to study groundwater and streamflow and the opportunities to increase water security for residents and wildlife.

Presentations include:
"Translating restoration priorities into projects"- John Green, Gold Ridge Resource Conservation District (RCD)
"Update on Green Valley Creek fish populations"- Mariska Obedzinski, UC Cooperative Extension/CA Sea Grant
"Watershed analysis for prioritizing restoration efforts"- Matt O'Connor, O'Connor Environmental, Inc., Consulting Hydrologists

3rd Annual Guild-Raising Event
Hosted by the Farmers Guild

On February 20, agrarian communities from across California converge in Sonoma County to re-envision our food system at The Farmers Guild's 3rd Annual Farmers Guild Raising. We call upon you, farmers and good food advocates alike, to come forge local solutions to our agricultural and food system challenges, all while celebrating the newest generation of food and farms.

All eight Farmers Guilds-from the Mendocino Coast down to San Luis Obisbo-unite for one day to engage on vital issues such as carbon farming, land access and agricultural policy, exploring opportunities like growers' cooperatives and innovative markets for organic produce. Return home with new connections, tools and inspiration to enhance your farm and empower your community.

Polenta Dinner Fundraiser

Support the volunteer fire fighters by enjoying a delicious home-made polenta dinner: Italian style polenta topped with beef stew and Springhill cheese, served with salad and a roll.
