Leadership Introduction
From Lyn Demaret, RCUW President/CEO

Lyn Demaret
2016 is under way and moving along rather quickly so far.  We have so many new things going on this year that are keeping our staff and volunteers motivated to make positive change in our local communities.

Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is off and running with three sites in Havasu, two in Kingman, and one more opening in Fort Mohave this week.  All sites are by appointment only.   The best part of the program is the appreciation our clients have shown to the certified volunteers when we've taken the burden of "are my taxes correct -- did I claim as many deductions and credits as possible" off their plate.  Since this is a collaboration with the Internal Revenue Service we are not allowed to take tips or donations at the site, but if the feeling does move you to say Thank You to River Cities United Way, please do so by telling others in your life how this has helped you so we can help others find that same feeling.
