National Youth Leader Training

June 17-19 & 24-26 - Long Beach is hosting the National Youth Leadership Training for youth (co-ed) ages 13+. NYLT prepares young leaders to better serve in leadership positions beyond Scouting. Flyer here. A phenomenal learning opportunity.   
Path to Eagle Workshop

Saturday, March 5 - Del Valle Park. Star and Life Scouts and their parents are invited to the Path to Eagle workshop. Learn what you need to do, navigate paperwork, and ask any questions you might have. Bring pencil and paper, and this workbook. Starts at 9am. 
Railroading Merit Badge

Scout Night LA Galaxy

Sunday, May 22 - Scout Night at the LA Galaxy. First 150 Scouts will play in an on-field activity or post-game autograph session. All Scouts will receive an LA Galaxy patch. More info here. 
Kids Motorsports

Neat opportunity for youth: Take apart and build a car chassis. Count, measure, mark, and bolt. Learn the science, math, and vocabulary of car fundamentals. Covers race, safety, and design skills. Space limited.
Supreme Court Scouts

Before serving his country on the Supreme Court, Justice Antonin Scalia was a proud Cub Scout, Boy Scout, and Arrowman (see photo). Fun fact: two other current justices were Scouts: Justice Anthony Kennedy and Justice Stephen Breyer, an Eagle Scout.
