All-School Enrollment Fair set for January 30 
at Milwaukee High School of the Arts
Families who want to learn more about all the programs offered in Milwaukee Public Schools are encouraged to attend the All-School Enrollment Fair on Saturday, January 30.  The Enrollment Fair runs from 9 a.m. to noon at Milwaukee High School of the Arts, 2300 W. Highland Avenue. Read more.

Concert at Milwaukee Youth Arts Center features more than 200 MPS students

More than 200 students from three MPS schools - Academia de Lenguaje y Bellas Artes (ALBA), Wedgewood Park International School and Milwaukee High School of the Arts - joined together for a special concert at the Milwaukee Youth Arts Center celebrating the access students have and what they can achieve with the arts throughout their K-12 educational careers and beyond.

Milwaukee firefighters donate new winter 
coats  to students at 12 MPS schools

Milwaukee firefighters kicked off this year's "Warm Up Winter" distribution of new winter coats for students at Milwaukee Public Schools' Forest Home Avenue Elementary School. Students at 12 MPS schools received new coats this year through the program.

Families encouraged to participate 
in District Advisory Council
  
Families who want to share their ideas on how to meet the needs of children in the district are encouraged to participate in the District Advisory Council. The council was established in accordance with the Elementary and Secondary Education Act and the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Title 1 parental involvement guidelines. The council meets monthly in the auditorium in Central Services Building, 5225 W.
