Happy happy New Year
Thanks to all our loyal customers for a great 2015 and warm wishes to you and yours for a great 2016. We look forward to learning new things in the new year and having many more fun times with our Yarn Nook family.

January Sit & Stitch
Don't forget to bring a project and the details of construction to "Show-N-Tell" for an extra 15% off of your purchase that evening only. T he project must be made from Yarn Nook yarn. P lease also provide the name of the yarn used, needle size, pattern name, etc.

Ladies, remember that Knit Night is a great time to get together with our fellow fiber junkies and visit and share ideas. Bring "mindless" knitting so you can enjoy the  conversations without the fear of messing up a complicated pattern. We all know its hard to concentrate when we are having a good time! 

Sit & Stitch Wednesdays:
January 6 th and 20th
  (4:30pm - 7:30pm)
January & February Knit-a-long
Join us for an exciting Mystery Knit-a-long beginning on Friday, January 8th. Please stop by the shop to purchase your pattern through our ravelry store and to get your first clue.  Three subsequent clues will magically appear in your Ravelry library every Friday thereafter. You will receive an email and ravelry message notification each time a new clue is ready and at the end of the knit-a-long you will have created a warm, cozy shawl. 

The final measurement for the semi-circular shawl will be 28" deep with a wingspan measuring 60". The finished shawl will be a wearable art piece full of textured cables, knitted leaves and lace. A nice sampling of many techniques all in one project!

 Classes & Workshops

Class Information

You must pre-register for all classes and pre-pay to hold your spot in the class. Class sizes are limited and if no one has signed up within 24 hours of the class, it will be canceled. Supplies for classes must be purchased from Yarn Nook.


Beginner Crochet Class, $30
Friday, January 8th, 1pm - 3pm and Saturday, January 23rd 10:30am - 12:30pm
Taught by Michele Coker

Crochet Jewelry Class, $30 plus supplies

Thursday, January 14th, 1pm - 3pm or Friday, January 22nd, 1pm - 3pm
Taught by Rae Trahan.

Year Long Afghan 2 ~ Block 10 (Fair Isle), $30
Saturday, January 9th, 11am -1pm
It's time to finish our afghans - we are almost there! The goal of this square is to learn how to knit in the round and how to knit stranded color work. This class should be very popular and space is limited so please come by soon to pay and reserve your spot. 

Create Your Own Knitting, Crochet or Weaving Class
This class is for anyone from the beginner who wants to learn the basics to the advanced student who would like help tackling a specific project. If you would like to schedule a group or a one-on-one lesson please call the shop ~ we will be glad to schedule a lesson at your convenience.
