A young woman recently came to
Twin Oaks Shelter for the Homeless with her young children. Due to medical concerns, she could no longer afford her rent. When she arrived at Twin Oaks, her children were bundled up in winter gear, but she was wearing two sweatshirts instead of a winter coat. She was near tears when the case manager brought her a donated coat.
What might have seemed like a small gesture to the person donating their old coat meant the world to a young mother in Walworth County.
