The Senate took its final step in finalizing the amended Fiscal Year 2016 Budget by approving the House's amendment to the Senate substitute. Governor Deal has already signed this measure, and our focus has now shifted to the General Fiscal Year 2017 Budget.
The General Assembly will be in session all five days next week as we move toward "Crossover Day." All bills must be introduced by Tuesday, February 23, and favorably reported out of committee by Thursday, February 25, in order to have time to be considered this session.
