News & Updates:
Happy Thursday!

First order of business:  We will be CLOSED on Tuesday, November 17th.  Debbie needs to take her mother to have chemotherapy for her Ovarian Cancer.  We will notify you if that status changes.  But, as of now, plan your coffee needs accordingly.  It's better to have a little too much than to run out.  Sorry for the inconvenience.

We are getting into the time of year where a lot of things are happening...donations, fundraisers, holiday shoppes and more...

November 3-24- We are once again teaming up with the Resurrection United Methodist Church Preschool for their annual fundraiser.  $5.00 out of every 12 oz bag sold will go directly to the preschool for their scholarship fund.  Orders can be placed online or directly at the preschool using our order form.  Contact Fundraising Chair Meredith Brown ([email protected]) with any questions.  Click on the link below to learn more about the fundraiser.
RUMC Preschool Fall Fundraiser

Tuesday, November 24th- Western Wake Farmers Market Pre-Thanksgiving Market will be held from 3-6 pm.  Come on out to pick up all of your Thanksgiving needs, including extra coffee.

December 2-5- Cary Academy Holiday Shoppe.  We will have many great gifts displayed, including our ever popular Christmas Blend as well as gift cards plus much more.

Enjoy your weekend!

Not many people realize that great coffee comes from Congo.  Does anyone even know where Congo is located?  Well, the Democratic Republic of Congo is located in Africa.  Did you know that 20% of its producers are women farmers?
Fun Fact: For every pound of coffee that Equal Exchange buys, two cents are put aside for the SOPACDI's women's group to engage in various activities of their choosing. One group decided to buy a motorcycle and have a rent-to-own program with a local driver. Another group purchased equipment to produce flour and after it became too difficult to manage, they decided to sell it and today they are re-investing the money into goats. Livestock is very important to the Congolese people and although they do not have enough money to buy goats for all the women, they are starting with one goat to be cared for among three women. Goats reproduce approximately two times per year, so within a year, the other two women should have baby goats to call their own.

In the cup find excellent acidity, light fruit with citric notes, very smooth, superb creamy mouthfeel, chocolate, plum, grapes, orange, complex.

We offer this option when we have some excess inventory of decaffeinated coffee.  The idea is simple: we give you a great price, and we make the specific coffee selection for you.  These are NOT old coffees, or "seconds" in any way - just product we need to move along before it gets too old.

Sold in one pound packages ONLY.
