CJ is involved in a student exchange program sponsored by Dayton Sister Cities. Students from Chaminade Julienne traveled to Augsburg and Berlin during the summer of 2015 (learn more about that trip here).
This May, students from Jakob Fugger Gymnasium (High School) in Augsburg, Germany will visit CJ and be hosted by students. There are a total of 20 German students (12 boys and 6 girls) along with two adult chaperones who will be making the trip to CJ.
Hosting has been a great experience for many former CJ students. There are a few hosting spots left for this May 6 - 16 visit. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact Tony Ricciuto by email or phone (937-461-3740 x446) as soon as possible.

Blood Drive
Thank You for Your Contributions!
We had almost 80 people volunteer to give blood at our annual blood drive. Fifty pints of blood were collected which means 150 lives were saved by our blood drive. Way to go CJ!

Computer Skills Testing Course - DUE MAR. 15
All students are required to complete the Computer Topics class before graduating from CJ. However, students are given the opportunity during their freshman year to test out of the class if they so desire. Testing out requires demonstrating competency in four areas - keyboarding, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Cost of Poverty Experience - PARENT INVOLVEMENT

For the third year in a row, we are excited to host a Cost Of Poverty Experience (C.O.P.E) role-playing simulation on Tuesday, Mar. 15 for our junior class. Every junior will take on the role of real youth in poverty who must deal with the many challenges that exist among families living in poverty. Adult volunteers are needed for two sessions from 8:15 - 11:15 a.m. and 12:00 to 2:50 p.m. Adult volunteers will manage a resource table or help facilitate a small group of juniors as they process this experience.
