Overdue Items, Fines & Fees
Stay in Touch with Checked Out Items

We get a fair number of comments regarding overdue materials and the fines and fees that accrue when items are not returned in a timely manner. This is complicated by the cardholder's ability to request materials from other libraries in our consortium and the fact libraries may charge different fine and fee amounts based on their own policies.

Prevent fines and fees from accruing -
and keep the bills out of your inbox.

How to stay in touch with items checked out on your library card:
  1. Identify a password on your account so you can manage your materials anywhere you have internet access. It's an easy way to renew items without the help of a Library staff member.
  2. Keep track of the receipt you receive upon check out, since this lists each title borrowed and the due date.
  3. Provide us with your email address so you get notification BEFORE items are due; supply us with your cell phone number and receive this information via text message, as well.
  4. Pay attention to notices we send you by email, text or through the mail.
  5. If you don't have the ability to manage your account yourself online, please do call us to renew materials or find out when items are due.
