FREE TAX CLINICS
Families with limited income are invited to avail the free tax clinics. Muslim Accountants and CPAs will help individuals and families earning $50,000 or less with free tax preparation.
All that is needed is toregisterfor one of the four locations most convenient for you and then show up with your necessary paperwork. The rest will be taken care of at no cost to anyonewith an income of $50,000 or less. The free tax clinics will be held on all four Sundays in the month of February.
The Shura Council encourages Mosques to announce this free service not only to their congregants but also to their respective local communities through their interfaith partners.
"I stand in human solidarity with my Muslim neighbor because we are formed of the same primordial clay," says Prof. Larycia Hawkins of Wheaton College. Although Wheaton College takes pride in calling itself a Christian liberal arts college, it's not liberal enough to suspend/fire Prof. Hawkins from its faculty.
