New Clinical Staff -- Welcome, Gina!

We are excited to announce that Gina Biegel , LMFT, has joined the therapy team at the clinic. Gina is providing counseling for children, adolescents and their families, with a focus on working with students in middle and high schools. Her approach is to assess the client's needs and deem what direction is appropriate using a vast tool-box of therapeutic approaches from cognitive-behavioral therapy, client-centered, and mindfulness-based. As an expert in the field of mindfulness and psychology for teens, Gina is also spearheading a new teen group at CDM, the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Group -- please see the information below about this new class that will begin in March!

Mindfulness for Teens Program
Improve focus, manage stress, and chill-out!
The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens Program will help teens 14-19 years of age learn simple, yet effective, mindfulness practices. During the 8-week course, teens will use the techniques of mindfulness to intentionally focus awareness and observations of their own emotions and behaviors from moment to moment.  The new class series begins on March 16, from 5 - 6:30pm.  Please click on the link below for more information and call the clinic to enroll.

Fee Increase

We want to inform you that effective February 1, 2016, the Center for Developing Minds will be raising its service fees for some of our clinicians, including developmental pediatricians and therapists.

We have not raised our rates since 2008, but over the past eight years most of our clinic expenses have continued to rise, and we now need to make this increase. The CDM works hard to provide a very efficient administration and delivery of our services, so we can pass along cost-savings to our patients.

Hourly fees for service will now be: Developmental Pediatricians = $450/hr., Counselors/Therapists = $175. If you have specific questions or concerns, please let us know. We look forward to continuing to serve you and your families.

Join the CDM team!
