Fall Festival 2015 Wrap Up

We would like to thank everyone who volunteered and came out to the Fall Festival. The weekend was a great success that included live music from the Voodoo Yahoos, great food, fun rides, and no hurricanes! We look forward to this event every year, because it really ties our school in with our local community. Also, we hope you were able to stop by the Alumni Booth and snag your free alumni shirt and free beverage!

Archbishop Lori Mass

Our Lady of Mount Carmel is excited to announce that  Archbishop Lori will be celebrating mass here at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church at 5:30 p.m. on October 31. Before you head out trick or treating, enjoy this special gathering of the OLMC community. All families are invited to attend.

As a harvest gift, children will be given a special Halloween treat bag for attending the mass. We look forward to having you present during this wonderful celebration.
Pandora Bingo

Get ready for a fun night out with the Coach and Pandora Bingo! Join us on November 6 at 7:00 p.m. to win your favorite Coach and Pandora items, while benefiting the technology department for Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Tickets are $20 and include 20 games of bingo.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and there will be food and drinks available for purchase.

Bull Roast

Friendly reminder that the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Bull Roast and Silent Auction is right around the corner! This event is happening on November 14 from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. and will be located right on campus. Tickets are $40 which includes the bull roast menu, beer, soda, and much more! There will be two DJs, a silent auction, beer pong tournament, and raffles! Proceeds will benefit the Athletic Association and school.

Alumna of the Month
Ashley Simms

My name is Ashley Simms and I am a 2015 graduate of Our Lady of Mount Carmel High School. I am a freshman studying Chemistry at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. I am also a member of the CUA CREW team and Campus Ministry. I won a ticket in my school lottery to attend the Canonization Mass of Blessed Junípero Serra that Pope Francis celebrated on September 23 at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception at The Catholic University of America. I was also able to receive a ticket to view the live broadcast of Pope Francis' meeting with Congress on the Capitol lawn on September 24. 

I admire Pope Francis and believe that many people identify with the things he spoke about. He focuses on individual core values that connect human beings of all faiths. 
I am so blessed and thankful for these once in a lifetime opportunities. I look forward to educating myself more on the Catholic teachings for years to come.
