Annual Meeting Postponed
All Partnership members were notified that the Partnership's Annual Meeting, which was scheduled for Thursday, February 25, at the General Morgan Inn, was postponed. Taking into account that a negative weather forecast for that date was on the radar, the executive committee agreed to delay the event and reschedule it to coincide with the arrival of the new president of the Partnership. The search committee continues its recruitment efforts with the idea in mind to combine the events to not only celebrate the past year, but to introduce and welcome the incoming president. More information on the date and time will be forthcoming as efforts proceed.
Membership Directory & Annual Report/Business Plan
Since plans called for the 2016 Partnership Membership Directory and the 2015 Annual Report/2016 Business Plan to be distributed at the Annual Meeting, it has been decided that the two publications will be mailed out to all members in advance of the meeting. Extra copies of each will also be available at the Annual Meeting. Watch for the arrival of these two major Partnership publications within the next couple of weeks.
Legislative Breakfast
Don't forget to RSVP for the Annual Legislative Breakfast Friday, March 11, from 8 to 10 a.m. at the General Morgan Inn & Conference Center. Summers Taylor, Inc. will be the sponsor. The meal will be followed by a forum presided over by area legislators, including State Senator Steve Southerland and Representatives David Hawk and Jeremy Faison. This breakfast provides all individuals the opportunity to talk directly with their elected officials. The cost is $20 per person paid in advance or $25 at the door. The deadline for making or canceling reservations is Tuesday, March 8. Individuals who make reservations will be responsible for the cost unless they call to cancel before the deadline. Mark Your Calendars Now . . .
The Partnership's Annual Golf Shoot-Out has been moved to the second Thursday in August because of a conflict with the Link Hills Country Club schedule. Traditionally held the first Thursday in August, the tournament will be held August 11 because the Link Hills Member/Guest golf tournament is planned for that time period.
