Students pitch business ideas at EPICentre
EPIC Innovation recently held an EPIC Mentoring Event for Dr. Tepe's Electrical Engineering course and Dr. Schlosser's Lean Startup course. On January 29th, over 60 student entrepreneurs in 28 groups gathered to receive feedback from experienced mentors in various areas such as marketing, finance, intellectual property and strategy on how to move their business forward.

EPIC members tour World Class Manufacturing Academy
On Monday January 25th, 12 members of the EPICentre team including past and present incubator members, EPIC Founders participants, and staff were invited to a tour at World Class Manufacturing Academy in Warren, Michigan where they took part in hands-on activities to help them continue to innovate and think outside the box.

On Friday February 26th, the Masters of Medical Biotechnology Program and EPICentre collaboratively hosted the Growing BE (Biotechnology Entrepreneurship) workshop at the Katzmann Lounge in Vanier Hall. EPICentre is officially taking applications for the RBC EPIC Founders Program
The EPIC Founders program is intended to teach startup founders the theory of the Lean Startup, while working through the Business Model Canvas and Starting Lean methodology. Students work on their business and are paid full-time from May to July to work with mentors on their minimum viable product. Submission deadlines are March 20th.

EPIC Blue Sky Competition: Win up to $1500!
This idea competition allows students to develop 2-minute video pitches in multi-disciplinary teams. The event is hosted in March, but applications are accepted at any time. Eligible applications must come from students from the University of Windsor or St. Clair College and teams of 2-4 students made up of 2 different disciplines.
