Dear Participating Provider,
This notice is to advise you of updates to our
Administrative Manual for Participating Providers effective March 15, 2016 that amend certain terms of your Participating Provider Agreement. Please share the information with others at your practice.
This manual is for all provider types and specialties. Changes from the prior version include the following:
Modifications to our Guiding Principles for Patient Care regarding provider access and availability standards.
Addition of the Credentialing and Recredentialing Process. As we informed you in December 2015, we have added new policies and procedures as required by the State of Hawaii's Act 192 regarding health care provider network adequacy.
Modifications to Claim Filing Tips related to acupuncture, chiropractic, and naturopathic care claims for new patients.
Other administrative changes for clarity and consistency.
