"Summer has set in with its usual severity."

- Samuel Taylor Coleridge

July is here, and the sun has chosen to stake a claim in the Seattle skies and it's not budging. Our air conditioner is working overtime to keep the books as cool as possible. (Books like it cool. If all our books were waterproof, we'd drag a kiddie pool in here and dunk their paws in to keep their temperatures down. Alas...) Join us in the bookstore this month and adopt a book (or two) to take home. We wouldn't recommend the kiddie pool (it didn't end well when we tried it), but books also like a nice fan or two strategically placed. We (and the books) look forward to seeing you!

News & Notes:
- Bren? Brown visits Town Hall Seattle on September 16th to discuss her new book Rising Strong.  Tickets go on sale July 31st at 10 a.m.  Rising Strong will be released on August 25th. Pre-order your copy today!

- If you are unable to attend an author event you can call us at (206) 624-6600, toll free at 1-800-962-5311 or email us at [email protected] to request an autographed copy.
