DECEMBER 2015
Merry Christmas_
Christmas is a time for compassion, for love, for connection, and for hope. Pornography offers absolutely none of these, and we at Conquerors through Christ truly believe that this ministry offers them all - primarily because we offer it through the source of all compassion, love, connection, and hope: Jesus. As the world looks forward to celebrating Jesus birth, we're reminded more than ever of why our work needs to be centered on Jesus gospel message. Without, we had nothing, but with it we have everything.

One quick plea: Through the holiday season, with school and work vacations, you'll have lots of extra time with the people you love. While I hope that many of the moments you have are spent making memories, laughing, and enjoying all that this season has to offer, be reminded of the opportunity you have to engage in important conversations about healthy sexuality and the danger of pornography. Take just 5 minutes to show conquerorsthroughchrist.net to a loved one. You don't have to do it accusingly or judgmentally. Just say, "Have you seen this new site?" and pull it up. You never know the difference it could make.

Merry Christmas from all of us at Conquerors through Christ!

Real Stories
The following is a guest post by Kyle Bishop, a student at Wisconsin Lutheran College in Wauwatosa, WI. This is his story of struggling with sexual sin and the way God's grace has enabled him to fight it. Thank you, Kyle, for your courageous honesty and for entrusting your story to all who read it.  We hope and pray that God will use this story to help more and more people avoid and escape the wreckage of pornography.
Greetings to you from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and from the family of believers who fight sin with His almighty power.

But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9)

My first sexual experience was when I was 6 years old. I was a victim of coercion by an older friend who I looked up to, and this early experience was the exact moment that the Devil used to his advantage throughout my life. The first time I looked at pornography was when I was in third or fourth grade via magazines and fifth or sixth grade when it was through videos and internet sources.

Sex is not the Problem _Lust is_

Looking for a last-minute Christmas gift, especially one for a late-teen/early-twenty-something? Consider Joshua Harris' "Sex is Not the Problem (Lust Is)." Considered by some to be the "best book on the market" to help people get clear about sexual sin and God's grace in sexuality, this 185 page book is a fast and helpful read that remains useful as a handbook for future reference. Best of all, it's available in eBook format, so you can definitely get it before the holiday! (And if you're not a reader, it's even available as an audio book.)

If you are caught in the sin of lust, we want to help restore you.
If you are in need of accountability, we want to help keep you from temptation.
If you are helping bear the burden of another, we want to hold you up and encourage you.

No matter who you are, we want you to know the love of Christ - the only thing that will bring you lasting peace.
