You helped our agency flourish in 2015!
Community Action's Top 5 Highlights of 2015
Wow! What a year! We sifted through all of our activities to bring you our Top 5, as voted on by Community Action staff, volunteers and social media followers.
5. A newly redesigned website

The new community-action.org is easy to read on mobile devices and offers email contact forms for better communication with people we serve. It also provides a more effective way to tell our stories. Bottom line, it helps us stay connected.

4. Two awards for workplace diversity

Community Action earned both the YWCA's Dorothy Height Racial Justice Award for Diversity in the Workplace and Forward Janesville's Diversity Award. We are thrilled that our inclusive environment is being honored by these local organizations!

3. Expansion of training programs

all grew in 2015 to serve more people. These programs guide students and job seekers into the next phase of their education and career.

From staff: " As far as character goes, all the youth possess strong ambition, as well as a commitment to serve. The ladies wish their mentoring group could be every day."
2. Five-star rating for Community Kids Learning Center

The Play It Forward campaign completely renovated the center's playground, which sparked other donations and improvements. We had been very close to a five-star YoungStar rating for several years, and earned this top level from the State Department of Children and Families in 2015.
