Support Middle Tennessee Non-Profits on May 5

On Tuesday, May 5, from midnight to 11:59 p.m., all of Middle Tennessee will be online supporting the worthiest groups and the hardest working people this great state has to offer. Visit www.thebigpayback.org to check out the full list of participating non-profits. Be sure to keep a special eye out for Owl's Hill!  We and all of the other non-profits of Middle Tennessee would appreciate your support on this day.

Can You Do Us a Favor?

We are asking all of our supporters to donate to Owl's Hill during the lunchtime hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  The cool thing about The Big Payback is all the really awesome prizes that they give away throughout the day.  Of course we appreciate all donations at any time during this day.  So grab a burrito and some free wi-fi at the taco shop and join us online at our website: www.owlshill.org or on our Big Payback donation page at: https://thebigpayback.org/#npo/owl-s-hill-nature-sanctuary.  Donations will be accepted from either place.

Participate and Win!

Besides gaining a sense of supreme satisfaction knowing that you are contributing to Outdoor Learning, the Restoration of Tennessee Native Habitats, and the Protection of Native Wildlife, we are also going to do a drawing for those who give between the hours of 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.  The winner* gets tickets for a carload (that's 6 people) to a Music in the Meadow concert of their choice!  And we've got some great shows coming up this summer.  Be sure to check out the MIM page here to find out who's playing.  Also, because we want everyone who gives to have a chance to win, we will be doing an additional drawing for those who give at anytime on May 5.  The winner will receive 2 free tickets to a Music in the Meadow concert of their choice.

*Board members and staff are not eligible for the drawing

The Butterflies of Tennessee
by Rita Venable

From the website of Rita Venable:

If you love butterflies and live in Tennessee, this is the book for you! If you know someone who loves to watch butterflies float across their home garden, this might be the perfect gift book for someone you know. Whether you enjoy a hike in the woods or a jaunt to a botanical garden, Butterflies of Tennessee will show you which butterflies you are seeing out there! Beyond identification, it will teach you about inviting butterflies to the places where you live, work, and play.
