Parish Party Sunday June 28

We are pleased to inform you of our Eighth Annual social gathering at Normandie Beach Resort on Sunday, June 28th.  We will be honoring Father Rick Dennis, Father Bill Small, and Father Michael Sowan, who have been supporting our congregation while we search for a new Parish Priest.  Without their loving care, this period would be much more difficult for us.  Let's all get together and enjoy each other's company, as well as thank these caring shepherds.

The format will be the same as in previous years:  a get together, from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m., on the lawn and deck of Coco Caf? at Normandie Beach Resort in Westport.   The cost of $25.00 per person will remain the same as last year.  This includes hearty hors d'oeuvres, non-alcoholic beverages, coffee and tea.  A cash bar will be available.  In the event of rain, we will move inside.

To help in planning, all reservations need to be received by Tuesday, June 23rd.  Checks should be made out to St. John's Church.  Please mail to St. John's Church, P.O. Box 262, Essex, NY  10536.  Or, you may bring your check to Church on Sunday.  If you would like to come but find this a financial hardship, please talk to Scottie.

ReNew funds are at an all time low to help our neighbors in need.  The lack of recent fundraising and a particularly difficult winter have contributed to the current financial need.  Please send a check to the office with ReNew in the memo line or drop a check in the plate on Sunday so that we can help ReNew get back to a stable financial situation.  In addition, ReNew will try to keep the shop open 7 days a week so that they can raise more money from the shop.  You can help by volunteering.  Let Helene Gray know when you can staff the shop!  THANKS.
