Vermont Diocesan Convention

"Jazzed about God's Mission" is the theme of the 138th convention of the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont Friday November 6 and Saturday November 7 at the Cathedral in Burlington.  The vestry encourages anyone who is interested to attend as it is informative and fun.  They will pay for conference registration and the banquet to encourage you to attend. (You would have to pay for a hotel or drive home before and after)  If you are interested, talk to a vestry member or Bill Finucane, Senior Warden or Carole Harsh, Junior Warden.

Los Libros featured in  Albany Episcopalian

Here is a link to the text of the article that was recently printed in the Albany Episcopalian about our mission in the Dominican Republic.  Kudos to Jan Bedoukian for writing this and to all of our Los Libros workers who do such important work for the children in Episcopal schools in the DR.

New Carpet in church

We installed some beautiful new carpet in church to replace the worn out carpet that was there.  We had guidance from Jan and Harold Bedoukian and help from many people in choosing and installing it- Darcey, Patty, Dick and Bobbi and others.  Look on our Facebook page (St. John's Church in Essex. NY) to see it being installed!

Alleluia Golf Tournament

The Alleluia golf tournament was very successful. We had many winners from St. John's and we all had a lot of fun.  The tournament was also successful financially, raising $12,000 for missions in the Episcopal Diocese of Vermont. Next year's tournament is September 10, 2016.  Put it on your calendar!
