All hotel overnight guests have the option of self-parking for $26/night or valet parking for $33/night.

CONVENTION REGISTRATION CHECK-IN
The convention registration desk is open from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9th and will open at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 10th. Registration is located just outside the Grand Ballroom on the Lobby level.

SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS
If you have special dietary needs and have not already indicated your vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, or non-dairy preference, please e-mail info@cal-ccra.org. Upon registration, you will receive tickets with your badge that should be placed on the table in front of you at each meal to inform the servers of your s election.

Join us on Friday, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. in the Rose Garden for our Welcome Reception. Network with your friends and peers while enjoying an open bar, tasty hors d'oeuvres, and live music!

LATE NIGHT ACTIVITIES
Friday evening - President's reception in the Presidential Suite.
Saturday evening - private screening of For The Record with a Q & A session with the Producer/Director, Marc Greenberg.

EXHIBITOR RECEPTIONS
Join us on Saturday & Sunday, immediately after the last sessions of the day, for special receptions with the exhibitors. The first drink is on CCRA!

MACY'S PRIVATE V.I.P EVENT FOR CCRA
On Sunday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Macy's, directly across the street at Fashion Island, will host a private V.I.P. event for all convention participants to celebrate your hard work. There will be makeovers, a fashion presentation with live models on how to dress for success highlighting some new Fall looks for both men & women, a DJ, tote bags, giveaways, coupons, lots of refreshments, and a yummy dessert table. 

PACCRA 10-10-10 OPPORTUNITY DRAWING
By purchasing tickets for the drawing, you are supporting PACCRA and enabling court reporters to be seen and heard in Sacramento. You are helping CCRA and PACCRA continue the century-long tradition of preserving our industry.  Three winners will each take home 10% of the total money collected for the drawing.  You need not be present to win.  You may purchase tickets by clicking here.

PACCRA 5K RUN/WALK
All attendees and family members are invited to participate in the PACCRA 5K Run/Walk presented by PACCRA on Sunday, October 11th.  Participants in the PACCRA 5K Run/Walk can choose to compete in the 5K run, the 3-mile walk, or be a virtual runner. Medals will be presented to the first three finishers. If running or walking is not your thing, we have the perfect solution for you, a Virtual Runner. CALIFORNIA CART GENERALIST (CCG) SKILLS EXAM 
CCRA's first-ever offering of the newly formed California CART Generalist (CCG) skills exam for the State of California will be offered in this session.  The California CART Generalist skills exam is the first of two levels being offered by CCRA.  The second level, the California CART Specialist (CCS) will be offered at a later date TBD.

The Generalist certification incorporates the skills for an emerging CART captioner at the basic level necessary to provide real-time communication access of some classroom and community assignments.  
The skills exam will be 15 minutes total (5-minute lead-in and 10 minutes graded) LITERARY, dictated at 180 words per minute. To obtain the CCG certification, candidates must successfully pass both the skills and written knowledge portions of the examination. 
A written knowledge portion will be offered as a learning module with a post-test (date TBD).

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT 
If you are a member of NCRA in good standing, a Seminar Attendance Card will be issued to you when you check in at the convention registration desk. Keep your card with you throughout the convention. Session room monitors will punch your card at the end of each session that you attend. Please return completed punch cards to the convention registration desk at the end of the convention. Court officials will be provided with an additional card to turn into their court administrator.


MANDATORY EDUCATION FOR OFFICIALS
Changes to the California Rules of Court make it mandatory for all court employees, including court reporters, to complete eight hours of continuing education every two years. These continuing education requirements may be met by getting your supervisor to pre-approve your attendance at the seminars at the CCRA convention.

CONVENTION EVALUATIONS
Evaluations for the 2015 CCRA Annual Convention will be conducted online. An email will be sent to you at  the conclusion of the convention. You will have until Friday, October 23, 2015 to complete the online evaluation. All completed evaluations with contact information will be entered in a drawing for a chance to win a $100 American Express gift card.
