Celebrating Black History Month

We have programs for youth and adults to celebrate Black History Month. Kids who like to learn while they play will love Mount Pleasant's program Black History Month: Learning Scavenger Hunt. The program will run on February 17 and February 24 from 12:00pm and 5:00pm.

Young movie fans should check out Let's Get the Rythmn: the Life and Times of Miss Mary Mack on February 19 (2:00pm-4:00pm) at Wanskuck. Shown in association with the Providence Children's Film Festival, the movie documents the history of children's rhythmical clapping games, sometimes called "jazz on the streets."
