Are you ready for state meets and beyond?

State Updates
I hope everyone is having a great season!  These are just a few updates to make sure you are aware of what is coming up with Georgia USA Gymnastics.

One big change for next season is that the state committee voted to only hold a Level 1 and 2 state meet in the Fall season.  There will NOT be a Level 1 or 2 state meet in the spring. We will continue to have Level 3-5 at both Spring and Fall state meets.    As our spring season has gotten so large we are hoping to boost our numbers back up in the fall and create the best environment for all our athletes.  This information can be found in our December minutes.

February 15th Declaration Date

Remember that after this date whatever level your athletes competes is the level they must compete at state meets for this year. 


State Meet Entry Deadlines

State meets deadlines are quickly approaching.
  
Level 6/9/10 Deadline February 29th
Level 7/8 Deadline March 14th, 
Bronze/Gold/ Level 1 Deadline March 28th
Silver/Platinum/Diamond/ Lev 5 Deadline April 4th
Level 2-4  Deadline April 11th

2016-17 Tentative State Meet Dates

Level 4, 5, Xcel Bronze, Silver and Gold November 18-20
Level 1,2 and 3 State Meet December 2-4
Level 6,9 and 10 March 17-19
Level 7 and 8 March 31-April 2
Xcel State April 21-23  .  Due to the fact that this meet could require thirty-three (33) judges, no other meets will be accepted for booking on this weekend
Spring Compulsory (Level 3-5 only) April 28-30

Dates for spring states MAY be adjusted based on the number of athletes that participate in the 2016 state meets.
I would also like to remind everyone that the State Committee cannot take Spring Break and school testing into account due to the diversity of the calendars utilized by each school district. We also do our best to avoid Friday competitions for state meets but reserve the right to schedule on a Friday if necessary.
