Jeff 500 Officially Opens For Business!

Stuck Inside?...Register On line!

Let's not complain about this frigid weekend, let's embrace the opportunity to sign up for something that will really warm you up, this years Jefferson 500.

If you have not had a chance to experience the Jeff 500, don't hesitate a moment. Put it on your race calendar today and sign up now.

Want an event with lots of seat time? You'll get all you can handle and the track at Summit Point is plenty challenging to boot. Sign up early and get yourself a free track day the Thursday before the racing starts too. At any other track/event it would cost hundreds more, but sign up early and it's included in your weekend for FREE! Worried about signing up and then having to cancel? Don't worry! You're covered by the most understanding and liberal refund policy in the vintage racing world-the VRG refund policy. Register on line at Motorsportsreg and mail in a check...It doesn't get cashed until the race weekend starts and if something happens to prevent you from coming...you get a full refund. (If you pay on line with a credit card, you get everything but 5% back as Motorsportsreg keeps the charges for supporting use of cards)

Once you've registered, warm up some more to the idea of meeting Justin Bell, our Grand Marshall for this years event. Justin was 1997 FIA GT2 Champion, 1998 Lemans 24 Hour GT2 Champion along with winning multiple Trans-Am races from 2001-2003, not to mention being the Trans-Am Rookie of the Year. I'm sure we'll be hearing some great stories from his many years of racing at the big dinner on Saturday and yeah, sign up early and that's free for entrants too!

And the cars and the on track action will be amazing this year. This year we not only have all our usual groups running, but also welcome a return of the Royale Formula Ford Challenge Reunion Race Series and what promises to be some thrilling wheel to wheel racing. The IMSA RS/SCCA 2.5 Challenge Reunion Race Series will be back again too. Add in the annual Porsche Reunion Race, a Sports 2000 Feature Race and a special British Car Challenge, in honor of our Grand Marshall and you'll see the fun will never stop all weekend...so much to see and so much racing to do!

And if all that weren't enough, the annual VRG Driving School will be held Wednesday before the open track day. This is the most learning you can get for the buck anywhere! Dedicated VRG instructors work intensely and personally with both beginning Level 1 drivers and more experienced Level 2 drivers. Talk to anyone who's taken the school, beginners or veterans and they'll tell you what an amazing time they had and how much they learned. There are only a limited number of spots available, so if you know someone who's been talking about trying racing, or getting back into it, or maybe you'd like to learn some techniques to squeeze a few more seconds off your lap times...don't wait till it's too late!

Event Co-Chairs, Cal Trumbo and Jim Karamanis have exceeded our expectations every year...let them exceed yours in 2016.

Registration is now open, on line, at Motorportsreg and check out the details on the VRG website.

  Sincerely,
 Storm Field
