RU-Camden Hosts Talk with "American Governor" Author Katz

The Leadership Institute at Rutgers University-Camden will host a lunchtime discussion with Matt Katz, author of American Governor, his newly released book detailing New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie behind the scenes and in the media, from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16.  The talk, which is free of charge and open to the public, will be held in the Multi-Purpose Room, located on the main level of the Campus Center. RU-Newark Business School Challenges County College Students

Rutgers Business School is inviting students from New Jersey's seven largest county colleges to participate in a new case competition on April 1. The event, which is open to students of any major attending Bergen, Brookdale, Essex, Hudson, Middlesex, Morris and Union county colleges, will "give the county college students an opportunity to come to Rutgers Business School and have the experience of meeting real company executives," said Robert Kurland, associate dean of undergraduate student and academic services in Newark. Pulitzer Prize winning poet joins Rutgers-Camden faculty

Gregory Pardlo, who won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for poetry, will join the faculty of Rutgers University-Camden in September as a member of the school's masters of fine arts program in creative writing.  The Brooklyn resident has accepted a tenure-track assistant professor of English position, according to Mike Sepanic, associate chancellor for external relations at Rutgers. There will be opportunities for the community to interact with him and other faculty at the newly opened Rutgers Writers House, he said.  Read more here.

Come to the New Jersey Vietnam Veterans' Memorial for an afternoon of history and military insight with the Rutgers University Alumni Association on March 5, 2016 from 2:00-4:00p.m.   Lt. Gen. Flora Darpino, CLAW'86, the Judge Advocate General for the U.S. Army, will speak about her office's work in times of war and combat to reestablish the Rule of Law in Iraq. Darpino is the first woman and the 39th appointed officer to hold the Army's highest legal position. She is also a member of the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni. For more information, click here.
