COBRT President Jeff Wasden attended the Western Governor's Association (WGA) Winter Meeting, held Dec 3-4 in Las Vegas. This organization's mission of "bipartisan policy development, information exchange and collective action on issues of critical importance to the Western United States" is in strong alignment to COBRT's desire to serve not only our state but the entire region.
"Western Governors' Association truly understands the power of collaboration and working together to solve similar issues impacting the western states. Jim Ogsbury, CEO of WGA, and his entire team put together a high level, content-laden program that discussed critical issues such as transportation, education, healthcare and our regulatory framework. Colorado and the business community benefit when we come together and share resources, challenges and solutions to these complex issues. We look forward to a long partnership with WGA, explained Wasden after the meeting.
Three policy resolutions of importance to Western states were approved with regard to forest and rangeland management, foreign visitor preclearance and radioactive materials transport.
