"Nothing will work, unless you do"- Maya Angelou

In 2012 I started going to company sponsored events, and Pulse was one of them. My "job" was to set up the sponsor table and network, I can tell you honestly, that it didn't feel like work. At first, I had no idea what Pulse was nor what it was about, my first experience being a Leadership Luncheon. There I met some pretty extraordinary young professionals that I still call my friends today.

A Note from the Outgoing Chair, Mike Pennington

Pulse Members,

This has been an amazing year for Pulse. We have truly lived out our mission statement of Connecting, Engaging and Inspiring. I want to thank the Advisory Council and committee members for helping to make all of our programming possible. We will be ending the year with over 750 members YTD! In 2015 we hosted over 60 events, connected with other local young professional groups, educated and broke barriers in diversity inclusion and made a positive impact on our community. I could not be more proud to lead this great organization.
Additionally, I want to thank everyone at the Greenville Chamber for their support through my personal and professional transition. From chairing the largest YP organization in the state, to getting married and making a career transition, this has been an adventure to say the least. As we look toward 2016, I'm excited to see the new heights Pulse can reach with Ebony Austin in the chair position.
I want to encourage everyone to keep making meaningful connections and "Be interested, not just interesting," a mindset that will humbly take you very far in life. I'll sign off with one of my favorite quotes...

"Whether you think you can or can't, you're right" Henry Ford
