Ben's Buzz:

June 10, 2015

The BFCCPS community enjoyed a week of French festivities hosted by French Teachers Mirielle Malouf and Laurie Canning.  The students used the week to demonstrate their knowledge of French Language, culture and history.  What a sight to see Coco Chanel and Jaques Cousteau walking the halls of BFCCPS!  Les Bleus were the champions of the French Week soccer game, barely edging out the Faculty team in a soccer shoot out! Please click here to see more pictures of the fun, festive week!

We are all anxiously anticipating this week's annual Field Day Festivities. We'll kick the day off with the all school photo that is so generously taken by Mr. Urkevic.  The theme for this year's event is Country Western, so if you have a bandanna or a cowboy hat, please feel free to accessorize!

Please note: Since the parking lot and the school fields are used for  Field Day activities, the majority of the parking lot will be closed to traffic on Friday morning. BFCCPS staff will be on hand to guide you throughout the arrival process. Entrances and modified traffic patterns will be clearly marked using safety cones and caution tape. Please follow the directions of our BFCCPS parking lot attendants to ensure the safety of all students and staff.

You will find additional event details just below.

Sincerely,

Heather Zolnowski
Head of School
Please note: The last session of Homework Club will be June 11th.

Golf Awards and Pizza Party will be held Wednesday 6/17 at BFCCPS. Any questions please contact Mr. Callahan at [email protected].

Alumni Panel: 8th graders will have an assembly on June 11th where current FHS 9th graders who attended BFCCPS will talk about the transition to high school. The event will take place from 2 - 3 pm in the Auditorium.

Please check the lost and found as it is overflowing with items!  Items that have not picked up by the last day of school will be donated to St. Vincent de Paul.

Please send your child with a water bottle clearly marked with their name. Students will be permitted to wear jeans and hats, and we encourage you to apply sunscreen. This year's event has a western theme, please feel free to accessorize with bandannas and/or cowboy hats.

At 12:30 students in grades 6-8 will travel by bus to Fletcher Field and will return in time for afternoon dismissal.

Field Day t-shirts will be sent home with students the night before the event.  As in years past, students are welcome to have their shirts signed on Field Day, however any shirts that have been signed can not be worn on future school days.  Unsigned field day t-shits are acceptable for future wear in accordance with the school dress code.
