SAAC News

Your SAAC board works very hard all year long to promote the Angus industry, and keep the SAAC club as the most active Angus club in Alberta.  The board is also a very strong advocate for the youth of the industry.

This year's golf tournament will be held at the Cottonwood Coulee Golf Course in Medicine Hat on Friday July 24th, so be sure to mark your calendar.  Plans are in the works for another field day, stay tune for further details.

Click here for your 2015 membership form.  Your $20 membership fee helps the club to perform and carry out these activities to the greatest extent.  Please fill out and send in your payment at your earliest convenience.

Also as a reminder for ALL members to email in their information that they would like to advertise to the SAAC email list and we will pass on the information.  A very cheap way to get out to over 200 addresses of those with an interest in the industry.

Good luck to everyone with their 2015 calf crop, and keep an eye on your emails for your SAAC happenings!

2015 World Angus Secretariat in Mexico

In all our WAS messaging we are encouraging interested participants to book their travel with Monica Hillis of TierOne Travel in Calgary. She is going to work with our group to coordinate schedules regardless of departure cities; she has the schedule for the event and is familiar with how these types of events work. She worked with us on the 2009 Forum in Calgary as well as the 2013 New Zealand Forum so is familiar to many of the people who will be attending.

Monica's telephone number is 403-203-9266 and email is [email protected].

Monica is happy to work with us again and will coordinate logistics for people to try and get everyone (booking through her) on similar schedules. Likely the Canadian group will all meet up in Houston on the way down. Given the smaller urban centres we are visiting in Mexico, there are fewer options, increasing the difficultly of our travel arrangements. Since we have to use two different airlines (United into Chihuahua and American Airlines return from Mazatlan) we won't get a group discount on travel to the World Angus Secretariat.
