The power of giving
The power of giving never ceases to amaze. Whether it shows itself through helping a
neighbor, volunteering for a nonprofit, or donating precious pennies to animals in need, kindness and generosity matter.
This month we celebrate the joy of giving...from elementary kids specifically. Nancy Cole's third graders have once again donated to CASI, and in the process learned that we can all make a difference in the lives of homeless pets. The stories told about the precious animals in these kids' lives cover all emotions, yet through their stories the message is clear, they don't want to see animals suffer. Neither do we.
So to Ms. Cole and her students, and to everyone else who graciously donates money, stocks, merchandise, time, ideas and energy, CASI thanks you.

Leaving a pet in a car, even in cooler days and even when parked in the shade on a warm day, can cause heatstroke or death.
What can you do?
- Try to locate pet owner
- Talk to store manager nearby and ask if pet owner can be paged
- Call animal control/CCAS at 775-887-2171
