News from Mrs. Sims
Dear Families,
I am so excited to say that I was able to travel to Washington DC on Sunday to participate in the national Blue Ribbon School celebration. It was truly an honor to represent St. Margaret Mary School. Mrs. Natalie Androla, one of the teachers who assisted me with the application process, was also able to attend. The two day celebration allowed us to meet educators from across the country.
The conference was uplifting and affirming for us and the work we do each day. Only 50 nonpublic schools are chosen each year for the Blue Ribbon Award out of over 300 schools that receive it. That is quite an accomplishment for our school! As I told the children his week at mass, this isn't my award. This award was obtained by all of us working together toward a common mission. It took dedicated and talented staff members, exceptional students, supportive and involved families, and a committed parish community all working together to achieve this award. Now, it is our task to maintain the momentum, focus on continued improvement, and appreciate the gifts we share. Thank you for your continued support and care for our school. I am honored to be your principal and to work with such wonderful people.
May God Bless You and Your Family,
Wendy Sims
