President's Message:

As summer comes to an end (no, I cannot believe I'm saying that), families are starting to prepare for an exciting new school year. As summer wraps up, we here at Protected Tomorrows hope to share information to make the new school year better than ever. Our team found an interesting article from the IU Health Blog to help you and your child with special needs have a great start!

As a sibling myself, I understand the complexities of family life as well as the importance siblings can play in the lives of his/her brother or sister who has a disability. We have included in this issue an article from S.I.B.S (Supporting Illinois Brothers & Sisters). They are a chapter of the Sibling Leadership Network. I certainly appreciate their mission, and I hope you will share this with siblings of your child. If you have your own sibling story you would like to share, please feel free to email it to me to share with others.

To each and every one of you, I wish you a marvelous start to your new school year!

Warm Regards,

Mary Anne Ehlert,
President & Founder
