The value of an incubator is in its ability to prepare start-up businesses and entrepreneurs with the skills to become successful on their own by developing good business habits. A successful incubator, like the EEC, can do this in large part based on the quality of advice and guidance it receives from the business community.
With that in mind, when the EEC started, it created an advisory group to help foster the companies that come in to and out of the program. The EEC Advisory Group meets in general on a quarterly basis and on an adhoc basis as needed. The EEC Advisory Group
is comprised of respected members of the business community that support the development of businesses that will bring jobs to New Castle County and the State of Delaware. The group provides key insights to the leadership and brings a broad spectrum of experiences to the EEC community. The Advisory Group, many entrepreneurs in their own right, are able to provide a perspective that is used as part of the admissions process for start-ups.
Much like what the EEC preaches in leveraging experts to help guide you in your mission, the Advisory Group recently participated in a series of summer strategy workshop sessions addressing the status of the EEC Brand. The Advisory Group Members have helped provide a fresh perspective on the direction the EEC is heading to help achieve its mission. More information on the rebranding strategy is soon to come.
