SUS Celebrates Truxton Residence's Opening With Brooklyn Community
This month SUS celebrated the opening of our Truxton Residence, a 48-unit studio apartment building located in the Brownsville/Ocean Hill section of Brooklyn. The building officially opened for residency in February with 80% percent of the units  reserved for homeless single adults with mental illness and 20% reserved for low-income single adults.  Get the recap of the housewarming celebration from Pix 11's coverage and see how this supportive and affordable housing opportunity is already making a big difference in the lives of residents.   WATCH

SUS To Assume Responsibility For Brooklyn Men's Shelter
On July 1, SUS will take over the contract for a men's shelter in Brooklyn from SCO Family of Services.  The Renaissance Shelter serves 175 to 200 men in Crown Heights. Learn more about the acquisition in this article from Crain's Health Pulse.

Robin Hood Volunteers Help Prepare Vets For Employment
Finding employment can be one of the biggest challenges for a veteran returning to civilian life.   Many of our veterans express a need for help with job search skills such as interviewing, translating their military skills to a business/civilian environment and networking.
