As NJCTS marches further into the calendar, we will be launching several new and/or improved programs, events & initiatives to help celebrate a decade of providing services to New Jersey's TS community.

NJ Walks for TS Preparations for the 1st NJ Walks for TS at Princeton continue to go well. Registrations, donations and sponsorships are coming in -- although we need many more of each so the NJCTS Children's Scholarship Program can benefit. Here's a few examples of how this landmark program has helped graduating New Jersey high school students with Tourette Syndrome:

"Not only did the NJCTS scholarship impact my life, but in addition it showed my community how my Tourette Syndrome cannot stop me from reaching my goals. I think that because I have to work harder to overcome obstacles, the opportunity I had to receive this scholarship was worth so much more than anything I could ask for."
~ Amanda S, 2013 scholarship recipient

"With a diagnosis of Tourette, I was afraid that my tics would prevent me from pursuing my signing. Luckily, it didn't. As a member of the Continuo Singers, I have been fortunate enough to perform at Carnegie Hall twice, Avery Fisher Hall at Lincoln Center, for the Turkish Embassy and at The Music Center at Strathmore in Washington, D.C.
~ Ellen C, 2013 scholarship recipient

"This journey was the hardest battle of my life, but one I am proud that I fought. With the therapeutic achievements that I have made at (school), I am back engaged in school, sports and my music. I feel uniquely prepared to take on the next chapter in my life - college."
~ Cody S, 2012 scholarship recipient
